Intermezzo

INTERMEZZO: A Paratactic Pause

Vivace, vivace. Accelerando.
There is a song in my heart and there is a song in my mind and there is a song in my soul. Its melody tickles my ears, and it pops up at every tragedy, and it strikes with no warning. Accelerando! Crashing cymbals and rumbling trombones and tense string quartets, and the Hammond Organ playing piano and forte and the music crescendos into a gross wall of sound and it overwhelms me, it overtakes me—I am lost within it and I lose myself too and I cry and I grieve and I die and the music keeps playing. ACCELERANDO! The music never stops. The music has crashes and rumbles and tensions and ups and downs and louds and softs and pianissimos and fortissimos and it keeps going for ever and ever and ever and…

Non troppo. Lentamente.

And I keep going too. There is always another crescendo to build up to.

And I’m willing to wait for it…
