The Plan

I didn’t have to make a post today for my class, but I wanted to, so I did.

I have to write around three more papers for this class. I’m thinking that the next will be something about cultural appropriation, Elvis, Eminem, and whether there is a difference between being racist and contributing to systemic racism without being racist yourself. I am in the very early stages of this and I think it’s a very interesting topic. I once watched a video somewhat about this topic, but I don’t remember it too well (I had it on in the background while I was 100%ing Elden Ring. It’s a brilliant game and I have beaten it more times than I can remember. I highly recommend it). I may rewatch the video as I do my research.

I think my paper after will be about AI and art for art’s sake. There is an internal desire to be right about AI being a net negative thing and defend my desire not to use it, but I have not yet done my due diligence to prove these feelings. I must follow the research, even if it disagrees with my feelings. What is it that Ben Shapiro always says? “Facts don’t care about your feelings.” My dad always says something similar that he got from my grandpa before him, “Emotions are the caboose of the train, not the engine.” Maybe we should sue. Anyway, my professor has talked about AI a lot in his blog, and two of my classmates in another class have written quite thorough essays rebutting the use of AI. I intend to look at all of them as I write my own paper.

I’m not sure what my last paper will be about yet. I’m thinking either death and poetry or “The Ideal Reader”, but we’ll see. This blog is just here for me to get my thoughts down on paper for when I actually write the essays. Therefore, my next few posts for a while will probably be on these three subjects.

Thanks for being here.

See you Friday.

Feel free to leave a reply. I’ll read them all!
